Safeguarding
A Secure Building
At InnovOak, we prioritize the safety and security of our school community. In line with our Locked Door Policy, access to the school premises is limited to the main entrance, with approval from the office.
To ensure ongoing safety measures, our school building undergoes regular assessments for supervision, preparedness, and overall safety. Each classroom is equipped with a detailed safety plan, prominently displaying designated emergency exits, alternative exit routes, and comprehensive safety protocols.
At InnovOak, we are committed to maintaining a secure and protected environment for all students, staff, and visitors.
A Private Space
At InnovOak, we prioritize the privacy and dignity of student learning spaces. It is important to note that recording of student learning by fellow students is strictly prohibited. However, teachers may occasionally record presentations or lessons solely for assessment and evaluation purposes.
We uphold a strict policy that prohibits the use of any media for publication from within the teaching private space without explicit consent from both parents and staff. This ensures that the privacy and confidentiality of our students and their educational experiences are respected and protected at all times.
A Safe Environment
At InnovOak School, we are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. As part of our dedication to fostering a positive school culture, we have implemented a zero-tolerance anti-bullying policy alongside our school-wide standards of behaviour.
The comprehensive details of this policy and our behaviour standards are outlined in the student handbook, providing clear guidance for both students and staff. It is expected that all staff members actively observe, report, and address any instances of bullying or inappropriate behaviour in accordance with our school policies. Through collective vigilance and proactive intervention, we strive to create a school community where every individual feels respected, valued, and supported.
